I spent today working on this site, as the most recent Wordpress update caused some problems. Mostly I have everything patched back together (I even fixed the Internet Explorer problem from 2 posts back) however the css is still only partially cleaned up, and the slideshow option in my ‘Other Work’ section is broken and will likely remain so until the plugin author finishes moving to his new flat and writes a fix. Please let me know if you are finding anything weird going on, keeping in mind that the top of the page says “character animator” and not “web developer” for a reason, heh.

So to make up for a lack of functionality I’ve added content, specifically fleshing out the ‘Other Work’ section and getting more ready to post- you’ll be seeing many updates to the ‘Design’ and ‘Reel’ sections very soon.

I am currently changing over my blog to a winter theme and much better typography.  I thought as long as I was changing the visuals, I would clean up some of the hack-o-licious css in the WP template I’ve been using. An unfortunate and hopefully very temporary side effect is that the navigational sidebar is missing in IE.

I hope in the end the improvement in the site will be worth this temporary downtime.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly, but the possibility for chaos and site downtime exists.

It’s kind of like soft serve but less melty.

Finally! I have moved my entire site onto a blog platform for easier updating. I hope you like the early 2000’s ipod look I’ve got going on right now- it’s an homage to the little red Shuffle that’s been keeping me sane at life drawing class this summer (the teacher’s been playing “Phantom of the Opera” *shudder*).

Despite some of the design limitations of Wordpress, I’m pretty happy with how this site is coming along. So I’m going to go ahead and close down my blogger blog and combine everything on this site. Now that everything is set up, I should be able to keep continually improving the look of things around here, and it certainly was about time to update my portfolio. If you ever want to see some of my older work, there’s an archive links section over on your left there.
